A small
city. But far from unsophisticated. If one were to attempt to summarize
Missoula in just two brief sentences, these would be pretty darn close.
Nicknamed The Garden City, Missoula is known for mild winters compared to the rest of Montana. It's located in an old glacial lake bed now cut by the Clark Fork River. Situated 3 hours south of Glacier National Park, 3 hours west of Yellowstone National Park, and surrounded by 3.1 million acres of wilderness, you could say that recreational opportunities are abundant.

But that’s
only the beginning. As home to the 13,000-student University of Montana since
its founding in 1893, Missoula offers a quality of life with a diversity of
cultures. Located at the base of Mount Sentinel (5,158 feet) and next to the
Clark Fork River, the campus' stunning landscape attracts students and
professionals from across the country. University of Montana's Grizzlies are a
formidable adversary in the Big Sky Conference and have many loyal fans
throughout western Montana.
Missoula is a vibrant
community with great diversity providing many opportunities for new businesses,
families, and individuals seeking to experience the Montana quality of
life.
